Meet the Doctor
Dr. Emily grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and earned her B.A. in Neuroscience from Bowdoin College before receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, she was a Dean’s Scholar and graduated with honors in the care of medically complex patients and received The Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities Student Award. She completed her General Practice Residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine, serving as Chief Resident and gaining advanced training in oncology dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, and the care of patients with special healthcare needs. Inspired by the impact of preventive care, she completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she treated children under sedation and general anesthesia, cared for patients with developmental disabilities, and provided emergency dental services. Dr. Emily is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a distinction earned through successful completion of a rigorous board certification process that includes comprehensive written and oral examinations. This credential reflects the highest standards of clinical expertise, knowledge, and commitment to excellence in pediatric dental care. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dedicated to preventive and conservative treatment, Dr. Emily strives to make every dental visit comfortable, positive, and tailored to each child and family’s unique needs. She lives in Sacramento with her husband and dog and enjoys running, hiking, skiing, racket sports, and exploring the outdoors.
